Oct. 2, 2008 - Standing before an estimated 20,000-person crowd at Adams Field at Michigan State University, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama received a Spartans basketball jersey with his name and the number “08” on the back Thursday afternoon.


Free Bruce Springsteen concert given in support of Obama

Oct. 6, 2008 - Springsteen, with his harmonica and guitar, greeted a crowd of about 11,000 people chanting “Bruce, Bruce, Bruce, Bruce!” as he walked onstage at about 5 p.m. at Eastern Michigan University's Oestrike Stadium. Springsteen made a free concert appearance in support of the Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.
